The Mold Monitor utilizes state-of-the-art machine vision technology to develop a mold protection system for injection molding machines. Installed on the machine, it performs a secondary photo inspection during the molding cycle, ensuring that both static and dynamic molds are protected from damage caused by product sticking or ejector sliders not returning to their original positions, effectively protecting the molds for proper operation. The Mold Monitor is primarily used for online video monitoring of horizontal and vertical injection molding machines, stamping machines, and die-casting molds. This system monitors in-mold anomalies, product appearance, product quantity, surface defects or defective products, and pre-mold inspection for residue. It also triggers timed shutdown alarms to protect the mold and avoid downtime for mold repairs, effectively improving product quality and production efficiency.
