To address the issue of dropped frames in standard USB 3.0 cables, a new USB 3.0 A to MicroB active optical cable has been introduced, capable of withstanding over 5 million bends without frame drops. The AOC improves cable speed and distance performance without sacrificing standard interface compatibility by performing an electro-optical conversion at the cable end. The USB 3.0 AOC provides a fast solution for extending USB 3.0 transmission distances to over 100 meters, offering longer cables for USB 3.0 applications.
